A research and development project creating a future for local wool and hemp in interior textile applications.

[Re]value regional hemp and wool

An Interreg-funded research and development project aimed at securing a future for local wool and hemp in interior applications.

The project’s mission is to develop high-quality, sustainable yarns made from regional hemp, sheep’s wool, and recycled wool. These yarns will be processed into interior applications including furniture upholstery, curtains, and carpets. This unique blend of fibers results in yarns that are not only biodegradable but also self-cleaning and circular.

[Re]value strengthens the regional economy in the German – Dutch border region

By establishing an industrial production chain with previously unused raw materials, all while contributing to a reduction in CO2 emissions.

We are more than the sum of its parts

We create sustainable value for the region by utilising local resources, such as sheep’s wool, which often remains unused, and hemp, a versatile and eco-friendly plant. Through our project, we revalue historic materials, combining traditional qualities with innovative future solutions.

We can't wait to kick off the exploration phase and set a new standard for applying this new cutting-edge yarn, with the potential to transform the textile landscape in the interior industry.
