Our Interreg initiative aims to develop high-quality yarns from regional sheep wool, recycled wool, and European hemp for the interior sector \u2013 and we are steadily progressing towards this goal.<br><br>Since our official kick-off in July, we have achieved significant milestones. Together, our team is working to establish a sustainable and innovative process chain: <br><br>[1] De\u00a0Wassum\u00a0supplies regional wool from the German-Dutch border area.<br>[2] Farmhuis\u00a0provides recycled wool from textile waste generated in carpet production.<br>[3] Felde\u00a0Fibres,\u00a0BFTi, and\u00a0La\u00a0Chanvri\u00e8re\u00a0supply high-quality European hemp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Our first yarns<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We have already produced our first yarns at the&nbsp;Niederrhein University of Applied Sciences&nbsp;in&nbsp;M\u00f6nchengladbach&nbsp;and in the state-of-the-art facilities at&nbsp;Spinning Jenny&nbsp;in&nbsp;Nijverdal. The trials have yielded promising results in terms of yarn quality and sustainability.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Visit Spinning Jenny<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A&nbsp;special&nbsp;moment in our collaboration so far was the project meeting at&nbsp;Spinning Jenny. This gave us the opportunity to explore their sustainable production processes on-site and gain valuable insights to guide our future work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">World Hemp Forum<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Equally enriching was our participation in the&nbsp;World Hemp Forum, where we exchanged ideas with international experts about the diverse applications of hemp.
